Recent Blog Post: Draft Day Mock Draft: The Craziest Mock You'll See

Today is like Christmas for NFL teams.  Some teams will have their stockings stuffed with gifts, and some with coal.  Until today, I have undertook the impossible practice of predicting the picks without trades.  Today, I make an even more ridiculous prediction by trying to predict the trades that will happen in tonight's first round of the NFL Draft.  Enjoy the craziness that follows.  It'll make tonight seem rather tame.  The Green means a team traded up to that spot, the pale red means the team traded down.  All in all there were five trades predicted.

Recent Cincinnati Bengals Team News
RotoWire Update
  12/26/2007
Starting center Eric Ghiaciuc will miss Week 17 with a foot sprain, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. Alex Stepanovich will start in his place.
  12/1/2007

Herena-Daze Jones, the Bengals' top special teams tackler, is out for the season with a knee injury, the Cincinnati Post reports.

  10/22/2007

The Bengals' two sacks of Chad Pennington in the fourth quarter on Sunday were the first two fourth quarter sacks of the season.

  10/9/2007
Center Eric Ghiaciuc no longer has a cast on his right hand and will likely play against the Chiefs on Sunday, the Cincinnati Post reports. Right tackle Willie Anderson wasn't at practice on Monday, however.
  9/8/2007
Starting center Eric Ghiaciuc was added to the injury list on Friday with a neck injury, after he missed practice. He's questionable for Monday night's opener, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports. With starting tackles Levi Jones and Willie Anderson already banged up, the Bengals' offensive line is suddenly vulnerable.
  9/17/2006
Bengals starting center Rich Braham left Sunday's game in the second quarter with a leg injury.
  9/11/2006

The Bengals defense made a statement in Sunday's season opener, holding Larry Johnson in check (only 68 rushing yards) while harrying the Chiefs quarterbacks (six sacks) and generating turnovers (one interception, two fumbles). They led the NFL in turnovers generated in 2005, so if the rush defense and pass rush remain consistent the Bengals could be one of the better fantasy defenses in the NFL.

  1/20/2005

The Bengals have a new defensive coordinator, Chuck Bresnahan, whose experience and success are supposed to allow coach Marvin Lewis to let loose of more defensive control and help their Bengals made significant improvement in 2005. Bresnahan was announced Wednesday by Lewis as his hire to replace Leslie Frazier, coordinator in 2003 and 2004, whose contract was not renewed by Lewis on Jan. 5, The Sports Xchange reports.

  12/7/2004
The Bengals have the most difficult schedule remaining of the five AFC teams battling for the final wildcard spot, The Sports Xchange reports. Cincinnati's final four opponents are a combined 33-15 (.688). They play at New England and Philadelphia, both 11-1, and will face 6-6 Buffalo and the 5-7 Giants at home. The Bengals and Jacksonville, like the Bills, are 6-6. Baltimore is 7-5 and has the second toughest schedule of the five teams. The Ravens' opponents are 27-21 (.563). Both the Jaguars and Bills will face teams with combined 21-27 records (.438). And Denver, which is 7-5, will encounter teams with a combined 19-29 record (.396).
  11/15/2004

The Bengals have held three of their last four opponents to 10 or fewer points. On Sunday against the Redskins they came within 5:46 of registering their first shutout since 1989, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
