Today is like Christmas for NFL teams. Some teams will have their stockings stuffed with gifts, and some with coal. Until today, I have undertook the impossible practice of predicting the picks without trades. Today, I make an even more ridiculous prediction by trying to predict the trades that will happen in tonight's first round of the NFL Draft. Enjoy the craziness that follows. It'll make tonight seem rather tame. The Green means a team traded up to that spot, the pale red means the team traded down. All in all there were five trades predicted.

Mike Tice will take over as the Jaguars' tight ends coach, the Florida Times-Union reports. Alfredo Roberts held the position the past four years but left Jacksonville for the same duties with the Cleveland Browns. Tice held a general role last season as the team’s assistant offensive head coach but focused heavily on the offensive line and running schemes, which were highly successful in 2006. After a disappointing rookie season, Marcedes Lewis should benefit greatly under the tutelage of Tice, a blocking expert and effective teacher.

The Jaguars named Shula as their quarterbacks coach on Friday. The 41-year-old Shula replaces Ken Anderson, who was fired after the season. Shula spent the last four years at Alabama. Before that, he served as an offensive coordinator with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers under Tony Dungy and was a quarterbacks coach for the Miami Dolphins and tight ends coach for the Chicago Bears under Dave Wannstedt. Shula inherits an unsettled quarterback situation. Byron Leftwich started the first six games last year before suffering an ankle injury. David Garrard took over the rest of the way, but the Jaguars (8-8) failed to make the playoffs. Jacksonville also announced on Friday that assistant head coach Mike Tice will take on the additional duties of tight ends coach. Alfredo Roberts served in that capacity before leaving to join the Cleveland Browns earlier this week.
