McGrath (knee) made the initial lineup for Round 22 against Gold Coast.
ANALYSIS
There still aren't any guarantees that McGrath will actually play, but at least he's recovered enough to make an extended interchange list. In 12 games played, McGrath has averaged 24.2 disposals per appearance this season.

Out 2-3 months
MEssendon Bombers
Knee
June 8, 2021
McGrath is expected to miss the next two-to-three months with a grade II PCL injury in his knee, his club announced Monday.
ANALYSIS
The earliest McGrath could return is likely the second-to-last game of the season against Gold Coast in early-August, as any time after that would be cutting it close or hoping the Bombers were still alive in the finals. While unfortunate for McGrath himself, the club is lucky to have a red-hot Darcy Parish scoring big numbers each week and a recent string of good games from Kyle Langford, so not all is lost just yet.
Leaves game with knee injury
MEssendon Bombers
Knee
June 5, 2021
McGrath was subbed out of Saturday's 123-84 loss to Richmond with an apparent knee injury, Fox Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Essendon's star midfielder left Saturday's match just minutes after kickoff as the result of an apparent knee injury suffered after slipping on the playing surface at Optus Stadium. This isn't the first time the turf at the venue has proven a matter of significant concern, with the West Coast Eagles, according to commentator Xavier Ellies, having previously calling it an "Immediate issue" after two of its own player fell victim to injury while playing at Optus. No word yet on the seriousness of McGrath's injury. He collected three kicks, two marks and a clanger against Richmond prior to leaving the game.
Busy in win
MEssendon Bombers
May 16, 2021
McGrath recorded 27 disposals (15 kicks, 12 handballs) and made eight tackles during Sunday's 68-61 win over Fremantle.
ANALYSIS
McGrath played a big role in this win by leading his club in tackles during Sunday's win. His value is a little less consistent than it could be, though his averages of 25.8 disposals and 6.2 tackles per game offer plenty of potential in the right scenario.
Back to best in loss
MEssendon Bombers
April 17, 2021
McGrath scored one behind and logged 30 disposals (18 kicks, 12 handballs) in addition to making seven tackles during Saturday's 102-45 loss to Brisbane.
ANALYSIS
McGrath hasn't always produced high-end fantasy value, but he's certainly proved himself capable of the feat after his second game of the season with at least 30 disposals. Though this effort came in a loss, McGrath has put up his best numbers this season when facing more inconsistent opponents. Keep an eye for the matchup when looking his way.
33 Touches, 11 tackles in Defeat
MEssendon Bombers
March 20, 2021
McGrath totaled 31 disposals (18 kicks and 13 handballs), 11 tackles, a pair of marks and a single goal Saturday as Essendon fell to Hawthorn 92-91.
ANALYSIS
The 22 year-old was a force to be reckoned with in the middle on Saturday, topping all Bombers in handballs (16) , tackles (11) and clearances (5). while falling just two touches shy of teammate Tom Mitchell (33). Paired with his first goal scored since September 2019, McGrath exits Round One of the season currently leading all AFL fantasy options with an eye-popping 141 points.
