ANALYSIS
De Boer has been out as long as Phil Davis and both should be making their return against the Kangaroos. It may take some time for de Boer to get up to speed, though his value may not be the highest with a season-best 20 disposals and six tackles made in Round 2.

De Boer was initially suspected to have just pulled his hamstring, but scans revealed more serious damage that will likely keep him out until June. He fortunately doesn't need surgery, but soft tissue injuries still take time to manage properly.

ANALYSIS
De Boer has missed time in the past with soft tissue injuries, and this one could put him out for multiple weeks at the worst. Give him time to get back into shape, as he logged a solid 20 disposals, four marks and six tackles in Round 2. If he can improve those numbers when next healthy, de Boer could be a useful piece from the Giants.

De Boer was tasked with shutting down Nat Fyfe and did an excellent job throughout the match. He limited the Dockers superstar to just 11 disposals, also keeping him scoreless. The Giants were tremendous all over the park and certainly looked as though they are ready to make a charge at this year's flag.
