Weekly Hitter Rankings: Jays Home Cooking

This article is part of our Weekly Hitter Rankings series.

It's a bit of an odd week with all 30 teams playing on Labor Day then only eight in action Thursday. The end result is a typical distribution of games for this time of the season.

Six squads have a game every day. The Blue Jays and Nationals will enjoy home cooking all week while the Cubs will be living out suitcases all week with seven away from Wrigley Field. The Braves, Reds and Indians split the week home and away.

Things could change, but as of now, the Orioles and Brewers line up to face five southpaws while Rays, Cubs, Marlins and Blue Jays are slated to see six right-handers. Maximizing at bats with platoon advantage is always important but with only four weeks left, the need is even more magnified.

Keep in mind the Monday holiday slate starts at 1:05 p.m. EDT, so before heading out in your white shorts for the last time this summer, be sure to lock in your lineups.

UPDATED Sunday September 2, 10:35 PM ET

For the week, Sept 3-9.
