DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Guards

John Wall, WSH at ATL ($9,800): Wall would have been a tough sell in DFS a couple weeks ago but his recent play is hard to overlook. Wall is averaging 62.3 DraftKings points across his last three games, and he gets a matchup Tuesday with Atlanta, which ranks dead-last in points allowed while playing at the fastest pace in the league.

D'Angelo Russell, BRK vs. LAL ($8,100): Russell has been a stud since Caris LeVert. With LeVert off the floor, Russell is posting a 33.2 percent usage rate while averaging 1.3 DraftKings points per minute. He's also scored at least 54 fantasy points twice in his last seven games while surpassing 43 DraftKings points in five of his last 11 games. That success should continue against a Lakers defense that owns a 21st OPRK against points guards this season.

Kevin Huerter, ATL vs. WSH ($4,300): Huerter is a sneaky play at guard, as he's been starting the last few weeks with Taurean Prince injured. Not only has he played at least 27 minutes played in eight straight games, but Huerter has also scored at least 21 DraftKings points in all but one of those games. The Hawks are always a risk to be run off the floor, but they should be able to hang around and put up points against a porous Washington defense that'll be without Otto Porter.

Forwards

John Collins, ATL vs. WSH ($7,900): Collins is fully back from the ankle injury that sidelined him to begin the year, and he's averaging 43 DraftKings points across his last seven outings. He's posting a 25 percent usage rate in that span while averaging 33 minutes and 17 shots per game. That sort of monster usage should allow him to go off in a matchup like this, with Washington allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to opposing power forwards.

Larry Nance Jr., CLE at IND ($6,000): Fantasy owners have been waiting for Nance to see more minutes for years now and he's finally getting the opportunity with Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson injured. Nance is finally seeing around 30 minutes per game, and he's averaging 34.3 DraftKings points across his last five contests. When Nance was playing limited minutes, he dropped 39.5 fantasy points in just 22 minutes against the Pacers. If he can duplicate that fantasy points-per-minute average, we could be looking at a huge night.

Trevor Ariza, WSH at ATL ($4,600): Playing anyone in their first game with a new team is dangerous but there's a lot to like about Ariza. The Wizards are without Otto Porter, so chances are Ariza's minutes won't be limited, even as he adapts to a new system. At the end of his run with Phoenix, Ariza posted at least 27 fantasy points in five of his last six games, and he gets a good initial matchup against the Hawks, which could make for a smooth transition.

Centers

Myles Turner, IND vs. CLE ($7,000): Turner has been one of the best centers in the league over recent weeks, as he has at least 34 DraftKings points in 11 of his last 15 games. The fourth-year pro still has nights where he disappears on offense, but those have been less-frequent of late, and his defensive contributions help mitigate that risk. Turner is coming off of a 24-point, six-rebound, two-block effort Sunday against the Knicks.

Jarrett Allen, BRK vs. LAL ($5,500): Allen is in the midst of a three-game slump but it's lowered his price to this attractive number. Foul trouble was partially to blame for the poor numbers, but he scored 65 DraftKings points in 59 minutes over that span, so on a per-minute basis he was still producing at a high level. Allen doesn't have the highest offensive ceiling, but he has the potential for double-digit rebounds, with a couple of blocks, when the minutes are there.
