FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

There's no shortage of NBA action Friday, with 10 games on the schedule after 7:30 PM Eastern time. Read on to see which players separate themselves from the pack as the best options at their respective valuations. FanDuel's format only counts the eight highest scores in your nine-player lineup, so keep that in mind when making your selections.

POINT GUARD

Terry Rozier, BOS vs. DAL ($6,100): Rozier's once again due for a substantial bump in role with Kyrie Irving sitting this one out due to eye inflammation. He made the most of such an opportunity Wednesday, posting 43.1 fantasy points in 32 minutes. A repeat performance from Scary Terry wouldn't be surprising given his history of producing in a starting role.

Emmanuel Mudiay, NY at LAL ($5,900): Mudiay continues to demonstrate excellent development this season, as he scored in double digits for the 10th consecutive game Tuesday while also dishing out a season-high nine assists. He's established a nice scoring floor but is also capable of significantly greater offensive outbursts when he's on, pouring in at least 32 points three times in his last nine games. If the Knicks are going to upset the LeBron James-less Lakers, Mudiay will likely be the man leading the charge.

SHOOTING GUARD

Kevin Huerter, ATL at MIL ($5,000): Huerter's starting to see significantly more run of late, logging 40 and 44 minutes in the past two games while averaging 17.0 PPG in those contests. The rookie out of Maryland relies on the 3-pointer for most of his offense, attempting well over half of his field goals this season from deep. Look for Huerter to deliver against a Bucks team that struggles to defend the 3-point line – Milwaukee's 12.8 made 3-pointers allowed per game rank as the most in the league.

Lou Williams, LAC at PHO ($6,800): Williams is rolling right now, with an average of 24.6 PPG over his past five. He's also chipping in 3.8 RPG and 5.6 APG over that stretch, so Williams is doing more than just scoring. The offensively gifted guard should have no trouble staying hot against a Suns team that's at least eight games behind everyone else in the Western Conference at 9-30.

SMALL FORWARD

Brandon Ingram, LAL vs. NY ($6,900): With Kyle Kuzma (back) likely to join James (groin) on the sidelines for this one, Ingram is set to take over as the Lakers' primary scoring option. Ingram has scored 17 or more points in six of his past seven games, showing that he's more than capable of turning more opportunities into greater production. It doesn't hurt that he'll be facing a Knicks team that's surrendering 115.9 points per game – fourth-most in the league.

Justise Winslow, MIA vs. WAS ($7,000): Winslow's turned into a well-rounded contributor, as illustrated by his 17.4 PPG, 6.0 RPG, 5.2 APG and 2.4 steals per game over the past five. While he creates a high floor by stuffing the stat sheet, Winslow's also demonstrated a high offensive ceiling by scoring at least 21 points in three of his past five games. Look for his upside to translate into results against a Wizards team that's surrendering an NBA-second worst 116.9 points per game.

POWER FORWARD

Domantas Sabonis, IND at CHI ($7,000): Sabonis would be in line for extended minutes if Myles Turner's broken nose keeps him out, but the Lithuanian big man is likely to find success even if Turner plays his usual allotment of minutes. The Bulls give up the fifth-most rebounds per game at 55.5, so look for Sabonis to cruise to a double-double given his season averages of 14.6 PPG and 9.6 RPG.

Aaron Gordon, ORL at MIN ($7,600): Gordon's another nightly double-double threat, with averages of 14.8 PPG, 8.8 RPG and 4.8 APG over his past five games. He connected on 2.0 3-pointers per game last season and is hitting 1.6 this year, so a large portion of Gordon's offensive production comes from outside. He's thus primed for a strong performance against a Timberwolves team that surrenders 12.6 made 3-pointers per game – second-most in the league.

CENTER

Brook Lopez, MIL vs. ATL ($5,600): Lopez is in a groove offensively, having averaged 21.5 PPG over his last four. There's no reason for his scoring to slow down against a Hawks team that's allowing a league-high 117.8 points per game. While he's not the best rebounder for his size, the 7-foot center can at least be counted upon to make a meaningful contribution on the glass considering Atlanta also gives up the third-most rebounds per game at 56.1.
