FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Friday's NBA slate begins at 7:00 PM Eastern time and features nine games. While there's no shortage of selection in this slate, certain players stand out from the pack as options to target at their respective valuations. FanDuel's format only counts the eight highest scores in your nine-player lineup, so keep that in mind when making your selections.

POINT GUARD

Kyle Lowry, TOR at NO ($8,400): Lowry is seeing all the run he can handle with backup point guard Fred VanVleet sidelined by a thumb injury. The veteran starter has topped 40 minutes of playing time in each of the last three games, and Lowry's eclipsed 43.0 fantasy points six times in the last 10 games. Coming off by far his worst performance since VanVleet went down, Lowry gets a great bounce-back opportunity against a Pelicans team that's one of three teams ranking among the 10-most inept defensively with a 111.1 defensive rating and 10-fastest-playing at a 103.5 pace.

Tomas Satoransky, WAS at CHA ($6,200): Satoransky is starting to look like a legitimate starting point guard, having averaged 12.0 PPG, 4.7 RPG, 7.2 APG and a steal per game over the past 10. He's hit double-digit points seven times and double-digit assists four times during this strong stretch. You won't find many other double-double threats at the point guard position in this price range.

SHOOTING GUARD

Lou Williams, LAC vs. OKC ($7,300): Williams has been tremendous over his past nine games, chipping in 23.6 PPG, 2.4 RPG, 6.1 APG and 1.1 steals per game to help the Clippers' playoff push. A Thunder team that's going to be playing its second West Coast road game in as many nights after visiting Portland on Thursday will have a hard time slowing down the explosive scorer and savvy distributor.

Luke Kennard, DET at CHI ($5,400): Kennard is finally turning into the scoring threat on the wing that the Pistons envisioned when they selected him 12th overall in the 2017 draft. He's poured in 17-plus points five times in the past six games, averaging a hefty 29 minutes of floor time. Still available at just $5,400 despite his recent success, Kennard should produce once more against a Bulls team that owns the league's seventh-worst defensive rating at 111.7.

SMALL FORWARD

Joe Ingles, UTA at MEM ($6,200): Ingles is known for his marksmanship from deep, but he's shown off his passing and rebounding skills as well of late. Over the past seven games, the versatile wing has recorded 13.0 PPG, 4.9 RPG and 8.3 APG. His ability to stuff the stat sheet makes Ingles a strong pick, even against a defensively proficient Grizzlies team.

Jabari Parker, WAS at CHA ($5,700): Parker's another Wizards player who's been outplaying his modest valuation of late, recording 32.3 or more fantasy points in three of his past four games. He should continue to serve as a strong source of points and rebounds off the bench, and Parker gets a great opportunity to pad his block total against a Hornets team that gets blocked more than any other at 6.2 per game.

POWER FORWARD

Frank Kaminsky, CHA vs. WAS ($4,400): Kaminsky's price still hasn't caught up to his offensive exploits since rejoining the Hornets' rotation, with 17.7 PPG and 5.7 RPG in 25 minutes per game over the past three. The former Wisconsin star has a great opportunity to keep rolling against a Wizards team that's the lone non-avian member of the aforementioned three-team awful defense and fast-pace club, along with the Hawks and Pelicans.

Aaron Gordon, ORL vs. DAL ($7,200): Gordon's been a driving force for Orlando's offense over the past five games, with 19.6 PPG, 9.4 RPG and 3.4 APG. Don't expect the bouncy power forward with range to slow down in this home meeting with a Dallas team that's 6-26 on the road.

CENTER

Hassan Whiteside, MIA vs. CLE ($7,400): Whiteside's recent move to the bench didn't stop him from putting up 18 points, 15 rebounds and four blocks in his most recent outing. That performance marked the third time in his past four appearances that Whiteside has scored at least 46.0 fantasy points, so his upside relative to his price is tremendous against a Cleveland team with the league's worst defensive rating at 116.0.
