FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Wednesday's NBA slate begins at 7:00 PM Eastern time and features six games.

While not one of the season's larger slates, this one has plenty of exciting action in store, highlighted by a Warriors-Rockets matchup in Houston. There are also plenty of vulnerable defenses to exploit, so read on to see which players stand out as the top value plays.

FanDuel's format only counts the eight highest scores in your nine-player lineup, so keep that in mind when making your selections.

POINT GUARD

Mike Conley, MEM at ATL ($9,200): Sitting out Memphis' March 3 meeting with the Thunder did Conley a lot of good, as he's been superb in three games since, averaging 31.3 points, 4.0 rebounds and 7.7 assists per contest. The veteran point guard gets a golden opportunity to continue his strong recent play against a Hawks team that has the league's third-worst defensive rating (112.6) while playing at the second-fastest pace (104.4).

Tomas Satoransky, WAS vs. ORL ($6,800): Satoransky's averaging a robust 35.7 fantasy points in 38 minutes per game over the past four, and his price hasn't caught up to his recent success yet. Washington's starting point guard should continue to see all the minutes he can handle, likely leading to further success against a Magic team that's just 13-21 on the road.

SHOOTING GUARD

Luke Kennard, DET at MIA ($5,000): Kennard's coming off a clunker on the second night of a back-to-back Monday in Brooklyn, but he was on a roll over the previous five games with 17.8 PPG and 27.2 fantasy points per game. The 12th overall selection in the 2015 draft will continue to be relied upon heavily by a Pistons team with few viable alternatives on the wing, and a bounce-back effort from Kennard is likely against a Heat team that's 15-19 in its own building.

Devin Booker, PHO vs. UTA ($9,000): The Jazz are tough on defense, but Booker's astronomical upside makes him a great contrarian pick here. He's racked up 57.0 or more fantasy points twice in his past three games, exploding for 64.1 at Golden State in his most recent game. If Booker produces a repeat effort here, owners who will have looked his way despite the difficult matchup will be able to separate themselves from the pack.

SMALL FORWARD

Paul George, OKC vs. BKN ($10,000): George is showing no ill effects from the shoulder injury that forced him to miss three games earlier this month, so he should deliver against a Nets team that he eviscerated with his best performance of the season in their last meeting. He set season highs in both points (47) and rebounds (15) in Brooklyn on Dec. 5. While George probably won't quite reach those totals here, he's still a good choice to build your lineup around in this home rematch.

Joe Ingles, UTA at PHO ($6,100): Don't hesitate to pick against the Suns, even with Phoenix coming off an upset win over Golden State. Ingles is primed to capitalize on Phoenix's 113.4 defensive rating, which ranks second-worst in the league. The Australian sharpshooter has racked up 33.7 or more fantasy points six times in his past nine games, adding 32.6 in one of the other three contests, so he's been outperforming his $6,100 valuation of late.

POWER FORWARD

Draymond Green, GS at HOU ($6,600): Green is a jack of all trades, but he's going to be asked to step up offensively with Kevin Durant sidelined by an ankle injury. Expect Houston to mirror the game plans utilized by Golden State's opponents in the pre-Durant era, with plenty of double teams on Stephen Curry and open looks for Green. The beauty with using Draymond is that even if his offense doesn't materialize, he can still provide tremendous value in all the categories besides points.

Bam Adebayo, MIA vs. DET ($5,900): Adebayo has thrived in a starting role, averaging 31.6 fantasy points over his past eight games. While Detroit's beefy front court will make rebounding difficult in this one, Adebayo has plenty of other ways to provide value -- he has seven steals and 10 blocks in these past eight games while dishing five-plus assists three times and scoring at least nine points in every game.

CENTER

Nikola Vucevic, ORL at WAS ($10,000): Vucevic has been the definition of a stat sheet stuffer this season, averaging career highs in scoring (20.7), rebounding (12.0), assists (4.0) and blocks per game (1.2) while throwing in a steal per contest for good measure. The skilled big man is primed to exceed his averages against a Wizards team that plays fast and struggles to defend. Washington has the league's fifth-worst defensive rating (112.4) and seventh-fastest pace (102.8), and those numbers have translated to 117.2 points and 55.8 rebounds allowed per game -- second and fourth-most in the league, respectively.
