Yahoo DFS Basketball: Wednesday Picks

This article is part of our Yahoo DFS Basketball series.

The last day of the regular season has the potential to be a crazy night in DFS. Not only are there 11 games on the schedule, but with so many players injured or resting, there are going to be some strange rotations. Let's try to dig our way through the mess and highlight some players to target and avoid while creating your Yahoo entry.

GUARDS

Delon Wright, MEM vs. GS ($32): Wright didn't exactly shine against the Pistons on Tuesday with 28.8 Yahoo points. He attempted only 10 shots and dished out two assists, which was the fewest assists that he's recorded in a game in over a month. He was coming off of two straight triple-doubles and is a lock for heavy minutes with Mike Conley Jr. (ankle) out. The Warriors play at the 10th-fastest pace (101.8 possessions per game) in the league and will be resting several of their key players, so this is a great spot for Wright to be productive.

Sterling Brown, MIL vs. OKC ($12): The Bucks are locked into the top seed in the Eastern Conference and have decided to rest Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez for this contest. Add that to the injuries to Malcolm Brogdon (foot) and Nikola Mirotic (thumb) and that's a lot of offense to make up for. Brown scored 52.3 Yahoo points in a game a couple of weeks ago when the Bucks sat several key players, leaving him with plenty of upside at near the minimum price.

Guard to Avoid

Ben Simmons, PHI vs. CHI ($44): With the Sixers preparing for the playoffs, Simmons has logged 26 and 21 minutes, respectively, across their last two games. Don't expect things to be any different Wednesday, especially on the second night of a back-to-back set. There's a chance he doesn't play at all, but even if he does suit up, he won't play much.

FORWARDS

Kevin Knox, NY vs. DET ($15): The Knicks have turned to Knox for added playing time down the stretch in his rookie season. He's certainly had his ups and downs, but he's finishing on a high note with at least 31 Yahoo points in four of his last five games. Playing time and shot attempts shouldn't be hard for him to come by in this contest, leaving him an as intriguing tournament play option.

JaKarr Sampson, CHI at PHI ($14): Sampson was an abysmal 4-for-16 from the field Tuesday, but he still played a ton and came away with 24.1 Yahoo points. When these two teams met Saturday, he dominated on his way to 46.1 Yahoo points. The Sixers play at the seventh-fastest pace (102.7) and will likely have their backups on the floor for the majority of this game, setting up Sampson with the potential for another productive stat line.

Forward to Avoid

Tobias Harris, PHI vs. CHI ($31): Harris hasn't been overly productive as the season comes to a close with 30.4 Yahoo points or fewer in seven of his last nine games. He only logged 20 minutes on Tuesday and will likely be in line for similar playing time in this contest. With his limited upside -- and the chance he's held out altogether -- spend elsewhere.

CENTERS

Andre Drummond, DET at NY ($47): One of the few teams with something left to play for is the Pistons. If they win, they are in the playoffs. Drummond was a monster in their victory over the Grizzlies on Tuesday, scoring 62.9 Yahoo points. He's now scored at least 53.1 Yahoo points in six of his last seven games and has a great matchup against a Knicks team that allows the seventh-most Yahoo points per game (42.4) to opposing centers. Of all the high-priced players on this slate, Drummond might be one of the safest.

Bam Adebayo, MIA at BKN ($20): The Heat came up short on their quest to make the playoffs and will be playing the second leg of a back-to-back set, so their veterans might not play much in this contest. Adebayo should get plenty of run and has been productive with at least 40.4 Yahoo points in three of his last five contests. The Nets allow the sixth-most Yahoo points per game (42.7) to opposing centers, making Adebayo a great cost-effective option to consider.

Center to Avoid

Myles Turner, IND at ATL ($27): The Pacers are locked into the fifth seed in the East and will have a tough task facing the Celtics in the first round. Turner is not on the injury report after leaving with an ankle issue Sunday, but it makes little sense for the Pacers to push him to play significant minutes. Despite this favorable matchup against the Hawks, steer clear of Turner.
