Hornets Hang On In Memphis
The Charlotte Hornets defeated the host Memphis Grizzlies, 118-107, at FedEx Forum on Wednesday evening.

The contest got out to a competitive start, as the Hornets led 23-22 after one quarter. They kept the edge through the second, where they outscored the Grizzlies by three points, to take a 58-54 lead into halftime. The Hornets carried the momentum into the third quarter, where they pushed their lead to 15, before settling on a 10-point lead by the start of the fourth. The Grizzlies kept battling through the fourth, but the Hornets maintained a good cushion, as they held on for their seventh road win of the season. This marks the seventh straight loss for the Grizzlies.

Kemba Walker led the Hornets with 22 points, seven assists, four steals and two rebounds, in 38 minutes. Nicolas Batum followed up with 18 points, four rebounds, two assists and one block, while Jeremy Lamb added 17 points, four rebounds and four assists. The Hornets shot 53 percent from the field, including 12-of-30 from long range.

Meanwhile, Marc Gasol led the Grizzlies with 22 points, 17 rebounds, 10 assists and three steals, in 38 minutes. Mike Conley tallied 31 points on 10-of-17 shooting, two rebounds, one assist and one steal, while Jaren Jackson Jr. chipped in 15 points, one rebound, one assist, one steal and one block. The Grizzlies shot 47 percent from the field, including 9-of-31 from long range.

The Grizzlies (19-29) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Kings on Friday. The Hornets (23-24) take on the Bucks in Milwaukee on Friday.
