Hawks End Jazz's Five-Game Winning Streak
The Atlanta Hawks defeated the visiting Utah Jazz, 117-114, at State Farm Arena on Thursday evening.

The contest got out to a competitive start, as the teams traded the lead through the first quarter, before the Hawks took a 29-28 lead into the second. The Hawks turned it up in the second, as they started the quarter on a 13-5 run. The Hawks led for the entire quarter and took an 11-point lead into halftime. The Jazz turned the tables in the third quarter, as they rallied to tie it up at 71, halfway through the quarter. The Jazz went on to outscore the Hawks by 16 points in the quarter, to take a five-point lead into the fourth. The Hawks started chipping away to start the fourth and made it a one-point game with just over seven minutes to go. The Jazz responded and pulled ahead by a couple of possessions, however, the Hawks outscored the visitors 19-8 through the final five minutes, to snap a three-game losing streak. For the Jazz, it marks the end of a five-game winning streak.

Trae Young led the Hawks with 23 points, 11 assists and two rebounds, in 34 minutes. Dewayne Dedmon followed up with 18 points, nine rebounds, three blocks and two assists, while Kevin Heurter added 14 points, two assists and a rebound. The Hawks shot 47 percent from the field, including 19-of-40 from long range.

Meanwhile, Donovan Mitchell led the Jazz with 34 points, four rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal, in 35 minutes. Derrick Favors added 15 points, 15 rebounds, two steals, a block and an assist, while Ricky Rubio tallied 17 points, seven assists, five rebounds and two steals. The Jazz shot 43-of-94 from the field, including 10-of-32 from deep.

The Jazz (42-30) will look to bounce back as they take on the Bulls in Chicago on Saturday. The Hawks (25-48) play host to the 76ers on Saturday.
