Suns Slaughter Nuggets in Game 2, 123-98
The Phoenix Suns defeated the visiting Denver Nuggets, 123-98, in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals at Phoenix Suns Arena on Wednesday.

It's rare to see a Western Conference Semifinal end in such lopsided fashion but Phoenix won all four individual quarters in this game by at least four points apiece. In fact, they led by 10 points at the half and completed their blowout behind a 71-56 second half. The Nuggets trailed by double-digits for the entirety of the second half and never got within 20 for the final 11 minutes. The Suns shot 48 percent from the field, 47 percent from three-point range and 88 percent from the free-throw line while holding Denver to 40 percent from the field, 33 percent from long range and 60 percent from the charity stripe. In addition, the Suns outscored the Nuggets in fastbreak scoring, 14-8, and in the paint, 44,36.

The Nuggets (0-2) were led by Nikola Jokic, tallying 24 points, 13 rebounds and six assists despite not playing in the fourth quarter. Michael Porter Jr went 3-of-13 from the field to provide 11 points and six rebounds. None of the other three starters scored more than six points or handed out more than two assists.

The Suns (2-0) had all five starters reach double figures in scoring, with Devin Booker leading the way with 18 points, 10 rebounds and two assists. Chris Paul was the player of the game, collecting 17 points, five rebounds and 15 assists. Deandre Ayton amassed 15 points and 10 rebounds while Mikal Bridges totaled 16 points and two boards. Torrey Craig led the bench with 10 points, four rebounds and three assists.

Game 3 will be in Denver on Friday. If the Nuggets lose that Game 3, they'll have to be the first team in NBA history to overcome a 3-0 deficit in a seven-game series to advance.
