Clippers Thump Jazz, 132-106, in Game 3 Win
The Los Angeles Clippers defeated the Utah Jazz, 132-106, at Staples Center on Saturday night in Game 3 of their Western Conference semifinal-round series. The Jazz leads the series, 2-1.

The Clippers (1-2) had to come into Saturday night's pivotal Game 3 with some confidence after playing the Jazz (2-1) extremely tough in the first two games of the series on the road but falling just short. Los Angeles tried to set the right tone from the start, expanding a four-point lead at the end of one to 15 by halftime. Utah then played its best basketball coming out of intermission but only put a four-point dent in its deficit, and the hosts ensured there'd be no further comeback by outscoring the visitors, 38-23, over the final 12 minutes.

Donovan Mitchell led the Jazz with 30 points, complementing them with five rebounds, four assists and two steals. Joe Ingles delivered 19 points, four rebounds, two assists and one steal. Jordan Clarkson supplied 14 points, three rebounds, three assists and one steal. Rudy Gobert and Royce O'Neale posted matching 12-point tallies while pulling down 10 and six rebounds, respectively.

Kawhi Leonard paced the Clippers with a 34-point, 12-rebound double-double that also included five assists, two steals and one block. Paul George registered 31 points, five assists, three rebounds and one steal. Nicolas Batum furnished 17 points, seven rebounds, two assists and one steal. Reggie Jackson matched Batum's scoring total and also recorded three assists, one rebound and one steal.

The two teams reconvene at Staples Center for Game 4 on Monday night.
