2019 Fantasy Outlook
Harrison played the role of defensive specialist off the bench during his first season in the Windy City, finishing with averages of 6.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.2 steals across 19.6 minutes over 73 games. The 25-year-old did see a notable drop in his shooting, however, as his mediocre 43.2 percent success rate from the floor represented a steep drop from the 47.6 percent figure he'd generated during his rookie campaign in Phoenix the year prior. Additionally, Harrison continued his early-career struggles from behind the arc by shooting well under 30.0 percent (27.0) for the second time in as many NBA campaigns. The Tulsa product, therefore, slots in exactly where he belongs, namely, as a secondary guard that will likely log minutes in the teens the majority of nights. Notably, Harrison did finish last season as a starter due to injuries in front of him and averaged a respectable 12.2 points (on 44.9 percent shooting), 5.9 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.8 steals across 30.9 minutes over the final 11 games of the campaign. However, the offseason signing of Tomas Satoransky and the presence of Kris Dunn help ensure Harrison will be no better than a third point guard off the bench who'll be once again projected to make some modest across-the-board contributions relative to playing time. Personal Bio

Shaquille Harrison was born in Kansas City, Missouri in 1993 to Jack Harrison Jr. and Michelle Francis. His younger brother, Monte, is an accomplished outfielder who was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in 2014. Harrison went to Lee's Summit West High School and earned two All-District and All-Conference selections. As a senior, he posted averages of 17.3 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.0 assists, and 3.2 steals while being named to the Missouri All-State first team. Harrison also landed the same award in football as a wide receiver, having played for the school's football squad over three seasons. College/International Summary

For four years, across two Conferences and under two coaches, the Golden Hurricane had one guard spot locked up. Harrison started every game he appeared in for coaches Danny Manning and Frank Haith. The team also moved from Conference USA to the American Athletic. The 6-foot-4 guard improved his scoring average in each of his four seasons. He averaged just 6.8 points as a freshman, but he improved to 9.6 points as a sophomore. The Golden Hurricane won its last regular-season games before sweeping through its last Conference USA Tournament. Harrison averaged 9.6 points, but he did not score in the first-round loss to UCLA in the NCAA Tournament. The guard took a bigger scoring role as an upperclassman. He had a five-game streak of 20-or-more-points games as a junior and averaged 13.1 points and 3.7 rebounds. As a senior, Harrison guided the team back to the Big Dance. He led with 15.1 points and had a pair of double-doubles. Tulsa was unable to win a NCAA Tournament game, but Harrison scored 23 points with seven rebounds and five assists in the loss to Michigan. The guard closed his career as the only player in Tulsa history with 1,300 points, 400 assists and 200 steals.

Brings defense in starting role

Harrison contributed six points (3-9 FG, 0-1 3Pt), eight rebounds, four steals, three assists and one block across 36 minutes Sunday in the Bulls' 110-107 loss to the Nets.
ANALYSIS
After averaging 21.0 points on 63.6 percent shooting from the field the previous two games, Harrison unsurprisingly saw his offense take a step back, but he continued to shine defensively. Harrison has picked up five straight starts with wing players like Zach LaVine (quadriceps), Ryan Arcidiacono (Achilles), Chandler Hutchison (shoulder) and Kris Dunn (knee) all missing action of late, but only LaVine's return will likely represent a major threat to Harrison's fantasy utility in the near future. If LaVine remains out for Tuesday's game against the Cavaliers, Harrison should again make for an appealing streaming option for defensive stats.

2018

After being waived by the Suns, Harrison signed a deal with the Bulls in the 2018 offseason. Harrison found a new home in Chicago, averaging 19.6 minutes per contest as a key piece of the rotation. He played in 73 games, starting 11. Harrison made 43.2 percent of his field goals, 27.0 percent of his threes, and 66.7 percent of his free throws. All told, the sophomore averaged 6.5 points per game. He was pesky on defense, averaging 1.2 steals per contest. Late in the season, Harrison played a more sizable role with the Bulls. Over his last 11 games, he averaged 31 minutes per contest, generating 12.2 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. That stretch included his top game of the year, a Mar. 27 gem versus Portland. The 6-foot-4 guard produced 21 points on 10-of-17 shooting and 10 rebounds for his second career double-double. Two games later, he recorded another 10-rebound effort.

2017

After spending the entire 2016-17 season with the G League's Northern Arizona Suns, Harrison split time between the G League and the NBA in 2017-18. He appeared in 23 games for Phoenix and 36 games in the minors. The 6-foot-7 guard averaged 11.0 points, 4.7 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.9 steals on 46.2 percent shooting for Northern Arizona. With the big club, he averaged 6.6 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.4 assists. Harrison played 16.7 minutes per game and shot 47.6 percent from the floor. In his NBA debut, he collected four steals and four assists in under 14 minutes. His first career game with double-digit points came Mar. 10, when he dropped 14 against the Hornets. All told, Harrison posted six double-digit scoring games, including four in the final seven games. During that seven-game stretch, he averaged 10.4 points and 4.3 assists on 50.8 percent shooting. In the final game of the regular season, the Tulsa product recorded his first double-double, scoring a career-high 18 points with 10 assists against the Mavericks.

2018 Fantasy Outlook
Harrison, a 6-foot-4 guard from Tulsa, averaged 6.6 points per game over 23 contests with the Suns last season, his first time in the NBA after going undrafted two years ago. Harrison averaged a productive 12.2 points in the 2018 NBA Summer League while playing 27.3 minutes per game. Harrison has started to shoot more three-pointers, averaging 33.0 percent on 106 three-point attempts in the G League last season. He started twice over 23 games with the Suns last season, though he may be forced to get most of his exposure in the G League due to the Suns having two other solid guards on the team (Brandon Knight, Devin Booker). Harrison is still a young player at 24 and there's still time for him to develop into an NBA role player for an up-and-coming team.
