Milos Teodosic

After being on NBA team's radars for years, the Clippers finally convinced Teodosic to come to the United States last offseason, signing a two-year, $12.3 million contract. He wound up starting 36 of the 45 games he played in, but then dealt with a plantar fascia injury that forced him to miss nearly half the season. Teodosic didn't make as big of an impact as expected as a facilitator right away, but he did average 4.6 assists across 25.2 minutes. He also added 9.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 2.0 three-pointers, while shooting a better than expected 37.9 percent from the field. Still, it was a disappointing showing for a player that had such high expectations and the recurring nature of plantar fasciitis does bring about plenty of concern for his ability to stay healthy throughout his career. After trading away Austin Rivers this offseason, the Clippers drafted Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who will likely compete with Teodosic for the backup point guard job behind Patrick Beverley. Beverley is actually coming back from a fairly significant injury of his own, so if he's not the same player he was prior to going down or if he does suffer some sort of setback, there's a chance Teodosic or Gilgeous-Alexander could get a look with the top unit. Still, with a logjam at the position, Teodosic will likely struggle to post numbers worthy of Fantasy consideration in the bulk of leagues and his situation is merely a position battle to watch heading into training camp.
