Justin James spent four seasons, from 2015 through 2019, at the University of Wyoming. As a junior (2017-18), he topped the Cowboys stats in points (18.9) and assists (3.1) per game and was named to the All-Mountain West Conference First Team. During his last season at Wyoming (2018-19), the Florida native led the Mountain West Conference in points per game (22.1), minutes per game (38.2), total field goals (228) and total free throws (200). Goes for 25 points off bench
GCleveland Charge   G League (Cavaliers)
March 5, 2023
James delivered 25 points (10-13 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 1-2 FT), a rebound, three assist and a steal across 28 minutes off the bench in Saturday's win over Santa Cruz.
ANALYSIS
James led all bench players in minutes, points and assists, and he made a major impact in the box score. He was also extremely efficient from the field, missing just three of his 13 shots in an outing that couldn't have gone much better, considering this was just his second game with the Charge.

2019 Fantasy Outlook
Selected with the 40th overall pick in the 2019 Draft, James joins the up-and-coming Kings. A 6-foot-7, 183-pound senior out of Wyoming, James was selected to the Mountain West All-Conference First Team (Media) last season. He saw 38.2 minutes per game and averaged 22.1 points on 17.4 shots, 8.5 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.5 steals. While his three-pointer is a work in progress (33.5 percent for his collegiate career), James was adept at getting to the free-throw line, taking 8.4 freebies per game and making them at a 74.1 percent clip. In six summer league games, he racked up 9.2 points on 6.5 shots, 4.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists across 22 minutes per contest. It appears James may end up buried on Sacramento's depth chart, and he'll have to beat out Bogdan Bogdanovic and Trevor Ariza for any hope of seeing consistent run as a backup. Considering that's unlikely, it's possible James ends up in the G League for much of the 2019-20 campaign.
