The Dodger bats finally woke up, posting a season-high 15 hits, including three each by Jamey Carroll and Aaron Miles.  Matt Kemp, who has historically underperformed (4 for 23, .174, 1 2B, 5:0 K:BB) against Kevin Correia (6.1, 10 hits, 4 ER, 2 K) broke out of a lengthy hitting slump, going 2-4 with 2 runs, 3 RBI and a HR (7).  Ted Lilly out pitched Correia with a solid 6 innings of 4 hit ball, with 1 BB and 4 K while allowing 2 ER.

Had better luck in the nightcap, as Joel Pineiro improved to 2-0 with a 7.2 inning effort in which he allowed 2 ER on 8 hits and 1 BB, adding 5 K.  John Danks continued his struggles, falling to 0-6, going 5 innings and giving up 6 ER on 10 hits and 2 BB.  He did have 4 K.  Five Angels had multiple hits and Alberto Callaspo added 3 RBI.
