Ouch: Depression On A Thursday

Two outs.  That's the difference between +385 and +80.

Toronto Blue Jays -105
Blue Jays 9, Red Sox 3
John Lackey did not disappoint me, dropping to 2-5 with a dismal 6.2 inning "performance" in which he allowed 9 ER on 9 hits and 5 BB, while only striking out 1 Blue Jay.  Jesse Litsch was nothing special, going 5.2 innings and allowing 3 ER on 6 hits and 1 BB to improve to 4-2.  He added 4 K.  Rajai Davis went 4-4 with 2 runs, 2 RBI and 2 SB in the win.

Atlanta Braves -205
Nationals 7, Braves 3 in 11
It looked like I had this game won, with the Braves leading 3-1 with one out in the ninth.  Then, Alex Cora… soon-to-be 36 year old Alex Cora… career .244 hitter Alex Cora, stroked a two run, game tying single to center.  The Braves bullpen (combined 5.1 IP, 8 H, 3 BB, 6 ER, 8 K) wasted a decent outing by Tommy Hanson, who went 5.2 innings and allowed one ER on 5 hits and 2 BB, while striking out 3.  John Lannan got a ND but gave a solid outing, tossing 6 innings in which he gave up 2 ER on 5 hits and 3 BB while striking out 3.

SEASON: 4-2, +80

With only 8 games scheduled for today, I'll try to get back on track with this one:

Tampa Bay Rays 100
Tampa Bay (21-15, 12-5 A); James Shields (3-1, 2.01, 0.93)
Cleveland (23-12, 14-3 H); Justin Masterson (5-0, 2.11, 1.17)

Recent Trends:  The Rays have won 3 of the last 4 against the Indians (all in Cleveland) and are 8-3 in their last 11 meetings.  Tampa Bay is 9-1 in their last 10 games on grass.  The Indians are 22-5 in their last 27 home games.  The Rays will be without B.J. Upton, who begins serving his two game suspension.  The Indians may be without Grady Sizemore, who underwent a precautionary MRI of his knee on Wednesday.
