McSwiggan was recently informed by the NCAA that he has exhausted his collegiate eligibility, Kerry Eggers of the Portland Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
McSwiggan was listed as a redshirt junior on the Pilots' 2018-19 official roster, suggesting he would have a year of eligibility remaining beyond this past season. The native Englishman first began his college career at UTEP in 2015-16, but was forced to sit out that season due to an NCAA ruling. That season apparently didn't count as a redshirt, so the 6-foot-7 wing won't be eligible for a fifth year. McSwiggan finished out his final campaign at Portland with averages of 9.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.4 triples in 30.8 minutes per game.
