Opts for wrist surgery

Wrist
July 14, 2020
Bolton (concussion) recently underwent offseason wrist surgery, but Iowa State coach Steve Prohm expects the guard to be fully healthy by August, Dana O'Neil of The Athletic reports.
ANALYSIS
Bolton missed the Cyclones' final two games of the 2019-20 campaign with a concussion, but the head injury apparently isn't much of a concern for him any longer. Instead, Bolton will turn his focus this summer to regaining strength in his wrist. He should be back to full strength well in advance of his junior season, during which he's expected to take on an even more enhanced role as a playmaker following Tyrese Haliburton's move to the NBA. After joining the program last season as a transfer from Penn State, Bolton was a 30-game starter for the Cyclones as a sophomore, averaging 14.7 points, 3.4 boards, 2.8 assists, 1.5 triples and 1.1 steals in 31.2 minutes per contest.
