Strickland announced April 20 via his VerbalCommits.com that he has committed to Western Michigan, joining the program as a transfer from JuCo program Victoria College.

Strickland is back with his second Division I program, after he began his career at Saint Louis in 2020-21 before a one-year stop at the JuCo level in 2022-23. Over 21 career games with the Billikens, the 6-foot-5 guard averaged 2.6 points and 1.0 rebounds in 6.4 minutes per contest.
