DraftKings College Football: Saturday Bowl Slate Analysis

This article is part of our DraftKings College Football series.

The following breaks down DraftKings' slate for the Saturday bowl games.

QB

Anu Solomon, Arizona vs. New Mexico ($6,400)

I don't have a read on how popular of a play Solomon might be this weekend, but anyone who puts significant stock in Vegas over/unders will be on Solomon. That's okay, however, because at this price he should be a strong play in cash games and tournaments both. There simply isn't a team with a bigger relative advantage in its matchup than Arizona has over New Mexico, and the fact that the Wildcats run an uptempo scheme gives Solomon a high ceiling.

Nick Arbuckle, Georgia State vs. San Jose State ($5,900)

I have to guess Arbuckle will be the most owned QB in most contests, because at this price it's downright difficult to avoid him. He probably doesn't have much upside against a San Jose State pass defense that has been good this year, but Arbuckle is a good player with an excellent group of pass catchers to throw to, so in cash games he should give you the floor you want.

Honorable mention: Jeff Driskel – Louisiana Tech vs. Arkansas State ($7,300), Kenny Potter – San Jose State vs. Georgia State ($6,300)

RB

Kenneth Dixon – Louisiana Tech vs. Arkansas State ($8,100)

Dixon has 83 career touchdowns in 46 games. This is the final game of his Louisiana Tech career, and it's in one of the highest-tempo games on this slate. I can't fade him.

Jared Baker – Arizona vs. New Mexico ($4,800)

Nick Wilson is out for Arizona, leaving Baker as the likely lead runner. He ran for over 200 yards against Colorado earlier this year, so it's hard to see why New Mexico should be able to stop him. At this cheap of a price, I don't see much upside in fading Baker in tournaments, either.

Honorable mention: Marcus Cox – Appalachian State vs. Ohio ($7,000), Michael Gordon – Arkansas State vs. Louisiana Tech ($6,800), Teriyon Gipson – New Mexico vs. Arizona ($4,300), Jalin Moore – Appalachian State vs. Ohio ($3,900)

WR

Trent Taylor – Louisiana Tech vs. Arkansas State ($6,700)

This should be the highest-scoring, top-tempo game on the slate. Taylor is the lead receiver on the favored team in the game. With 89 catches for 1,133 yards and eight touchdowns this year, it's hard to rate anyone above Taylor on this slate, especially in PPR scoring.

Penny Hart – Georgia State vs. San Jose State ($5,900)
After Taylor, Hart is probably the top receiver on the slate. The true freshman has been incredibly good, establishing himself as the top receiver on a team loaded with veteran playmakers. With 70 catches for 1,085 yards and eight scores, he's the engine that makes the Georgia State passing game go. Still, San Jose State and Georgia State are not uptempo teams, and there might be fewer possessions in this than the LaTech-Arkansas State game.

Honorable mention: Mitch Mathews – BYU vs. Utah ($5,400), Robert Davis – Georgia State ($5,200), Carlos Henderson – Louisiana Tech vs. Arkansas State ($4,500), Cayleb Jones – Arizona vs. New Mexico ($4,300), Nate Phillips – Arizona vs. New Mexico ($3,500)
