Healthy after ACL tear
QBUTSA
May 8, 2019
Harris has made a fully recovery from the torn ACL in his right knee that sidelined him throughout the 2018 season and was part of a five-way competition for Texas-San Antonio's starting quarterback job this spring, Greg Luca of the San Antonio Express-News reports.
ANALYSIS
Harris suffered the injury last April, so he's no more than a year removed from surgery and won't face any restrictions heading into 2019. It was the second ACL tear of Harris' playing career, as he previously suffered ligament damage to his left knee as a senior in high school in 2016. Now a rising sophomore, Harris will continue to compete with Cordale Grundy, Jordan Weeks, Suddin Sapien and Lowell Narcisse throughout August before coach Frank Wilson settles on an option under center for the Aug. 31 opener versus Incarnate Word.
