McKaufman announced Jan. 10 via his personal Twitter account that he has decided to leave Oklahoma State and pursue opportunities elsewhere as a graduate transfer in 2020.
ANALYSIS
Entering the NCAA's transfer portal doesn't close the door on a player returning to a school, but since Oklahoma State no longer lists McKaufman on its official roster, it's safe to conclude he won't be back in Stillwater for his redshirt senior season. After missing the 2018 season with a torn ACL, McKaufman suited up in five games this past fall, logging one target and no other statistics. The 6-foot-6, 200-pound wideout will be able to compete right away at his next stop for what will tentatively be his final year of eligibility, though because of his prior ACL injury, he could apply for a medical hardship exception at a later date in pursuit of a potential sixth season.
