Transferring again

February 12, 2021
Beal entered the transfer portal Friday and is expected to move on from Louisiana, Rivals.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Beal previously committed to Louisiana late in 2020 after transferring from Texas A&M, but after re-evaluating the decision, he's decided to transfer again. Since he didn't play for the Aggies before joining the Ragin' Cajuns, Beal should be able to compete immediately at his next school while retaining two years of eligibility. The tight end totaled five receptions for 21 yards during his time at Texas A&M before transferring.

2019 Fantasy Outlook
Beal has some big shoes to fill, as tight end Jace Sternberger was the leading receiver for the Aggies in 2018. Sternberger caught 47 passes for 804 yards and 10 touchdowns. Sternberger placed first in the SEC among tight ends in receiving yardage and touchdowns, and second in receptions behind Vandy's Jared Pinkney. No one is expecting Beal to come anywhere near those high marks, but he will have the benefit of a returning quarterback in Kellen Mond, as well as a veteran wide receiving corps to lean on. Baylor Cupp may also figure into the mix at the position for the Aggies.
