Janes, an incoming sophomore, was arrested after Minneapolis police found him attempting to break into a post office. The police report notes that the tight end appeared to be intoxicated and punched an officer in the face when he was approached. Janes, who appeared in all 13 of the Gophers' games in a special-teams role as a true freshman walk-on, may have to move on to an FCS or Division II school if he intends to keep his playing career going.
