Heading to Florida
Perkins announced Saturday via his personal Twitter account that he has committed to Florida, joining the program as a transfer from Missouri.
ANALYSIS
One of the more highly regarded JuCo prospects in the 2021 signing class, Perkins initially enrolled at Missouri this spring and took part in practices with the Tigers before heading into the transfer portal in late April. He didn't take long to find a new home within the SEC, but Perkins will first need to go through the proper channels to ensure he's eligible right away at his new school. The versatile defensive back has the ability to play cornerback, safety or nickelback, giving him multiple pathways to playing time in his first season in Gainesville.
