Bayern at Panathinaikos
Time: 8:00 PM CET
The final game of Round 19 pits a high-octane offense from Panathinaikos against a Bayern team that's struggled up to this point. The visitors from Munich are powered by center Greg Monroe, who joined the EuroLeague after a lengthy NBA career and has been impressive on both ends of the floor. Monroe is flanked by Vladimir Lucic, who is the only other Bayern player averaging double-figures at 12.1 ppg. Although Panathinaikos, the hosts, sit seventh overall, they boast the EuroLeague's third-best Index Rating. Their offense features four players who average double-digits. Professional sharpshooter Jimmer Fredette is the leading scorer at 15.2 ppg, and do-it-all forward Deshaun Thomas isn't too far behind, contributing 13.9 points per contest. Fredette and Thomas' excellent scoring contributions don't hid the fact that Panathinaikos' best player is point guard Nick Calathes, who is posting a line of 13.7 points, a EuroLeague-leading 9.2 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 1.1 steals per game. Maodo Lo and Nihad Dedovic will play pivotal roles in trying to slow Calathes down. Last time these teams met in Round 10, Panathinaikos took home the victory with an 87-75 win.
T.J. Bray - GTD - Knee
1/14 9:12 PM IST - Bray (knee) traveled to Greece with his teammates for Wednesday's game against Panathinaikos, according to Bayern's official Twitter account. Bray was close to playing last week but ultimately did not take the court. His inclusion in Bayern's travel squad gives him a chance to make his team debut in Round 19, though.
