If you are reading this column then you must either love injury breakdowns or somehow managed to survive the carnage of Week 14. Injuries and no-shows derailed the championship aspirations for a number of teams and will likely impact this week's slate of games as well. Let's take a look at a few of these ailments to better understand what you could be facing in Week 15.
Odell Beckham: The explosive receiver was a surprise scratch in Week 14 due to a lingering quadriceps injury. While it was nice of the Giants to rule him out prior to Sunday morning, his unexpected absence likely left many fantasy owners scrambling for a replacement. Now Beckham's status for Week 15 remains in doubt, though he did report feeling better after receiving extended treatment over the weekend. A quad contusion may sound like a minor issue, but the injury can be extremely limiting, as the muscle tissue of the powerful muscle group is damaged. As a result, the strength of the muscle can be diminished, and simple movements may elicit pain. Look for Beckham's status to become clearer as the week progresses, though it sounds like he is trending in the right direction.
Ezekiel Elliott: The league's leading rusher briefly left the Cowboys' win over the Eagles after a collision in the second half. Zeke was actually called for a flag on the play in which he was injured after the officials ruled he initiated contact by leading with his head.
