2019 Fantasy Outlook
Despite officially headlining Miami's tight end depth chart last season, O'Leary concluded the 2018 campaign with only eight catches for 86 yards and one touchdown. O'Leary's offensive snap count dwindled down the stretch, as Mike Gesicki and Durham Smythe began to see increased usage, a trend which projects to continue into 2019 as the Dolphins prioritize the development of young talent. With Miami having added a veteran blocking specialist in the form of Dwayne Allen it's increasingly likely that O'Leary won't make the 53-man roster, especially if the Dolphins elect to roster a fullback in the form of rookie seventh-round pick Chandler Cox. ANALYSIS
The 27-year-old was considered questionable due to the shoulder injury but won't suit up for the season finale. Ben Koyack lines up to serve as the Jaguars' No. 2 tight end, while O'Leary finishes the 2019 campaign with 13 receptions for 109 yards and one touchdown in 12 games between the Dolphins and Jaguars.

In his third year in the NFL, O'Leary caught 22 of 32 targets for a solid catch rate of 68.8 percent, en route to logging 322 receiving yards and two TDs in 15 games. He hasn't proven to be much of a fantasy asset yet, but he is slowly but surely trending in the right direction. With starter Charles Clay back for another season, the Bills' tight end pecking order is pretty much the same as last season, with Clay, O'Leary and Logan Thomas as the top three options heading into summer.
When starting TE Charles Clay rests his knee, O'Leary runs with the first team. That pretty much sums up everything you need to know about his prospects for 2017.
After seeing the field for very limited action as a rookie, O'Leary heads into his second season with something to prove. The former John Mackey Award winner showed a lot of promise as a collegian, and could get more of an opportunity as the backup to Charles Clay in 2016.
O'Leary was selected by the Bills in the sixth round of this year’s draft after winning last season's John Mackey Award as college football's most outstanding tight end. Playing in a pro-style system at Florida State, O'Leary registered 48 catches for 618 yards and six touchdowns in his senior campaign. Although he's not considered a great athlete, O'Leary’s ability to line up in the backfield or at a traditional tight end position makes him an interesting prospect. To be clear, offseason signing Charles Clay will certainly be the Bills' starting tight end this season, but the reliable O'Leary could push Chris Gragg or MarQueis Gray for snaps as the season unfolds. Little known fact: O'Leary is the grandson of golfer Jack Nicklaus. UPDATE: O'Leary was cut by the Bills in September.
