It's been a long and winding road for Pierre. A UDFA signee of the Bears in 2015, he failed to make the final 53-man roster and eventually landed on the Cardinals' practice squad that October. Remaining there through the 2016 season, he finally got his chance to see the field last fall. Aside from two DNPs due to an ankle injury, he managed 30 tackles, including 5.5 sacks, and a forced fumble in his first professional foray. With a new coaching staff in place, Pierre appears poised to play more in the interior of the line in a 4-3 defense, which likely will inhibit his sack potential.
