March 6, 2019
The Saints waived Lasco (neck) on Wednesday, Josh Katzenstein of The New Orleans Times-Picayune reports.
ANALYSIS
Lasco was an exclusive-rights free agent after he spent the entire 2018 season on the Physically Unable to Perform list with a bulging disc he initially suffered late in 2017. The 26-year-old is apparently healthy after the extended absence and will look to find a new team for 2019.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2017
2016
Lasco tested off the charts at the NFL Combine but fell to the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft after being limited by injuries in his senior season at Cal. Unfortunately, his rookie season with the Saints was likewise marred by injuries, as the ultra-athletic running back played only seven games, managing a mere 32 yards on 11 carries. With the Saints drafting running back Alvin Kamara in the third round and signing Adrian Peterson this offseason to complement incumbent starter Mark Ingram, Lasco will likely need to beat out Travaris Cadet for a roster spot.
Lasco was drafted by the Saints in the seventh round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Though injuries limited him during his senior season, Lasco posted impressive numbers as a junior. He was also one of the top stories of the pre-draft process, turning heads with his performance at the East-West Shrine Game and torching the NFL Combine a month later. At 6-foot-0, 209 pounds, Lasco is a bigger back with great speed – he ran a 4.46 40 time at the Combine – but he will still face a heated battle for a roster spot this offseason.
