Sprinkle finished 2019 with 26 catches for 241 yards and a touchdown on 40 targets in 16 games.
ANALYSIS
Sprinkle made 13 starts and played at least 64 percent of the offensive snaps in each of Washington's final 11 games. His sizable role never translated to useful fantasy production, with the 25-year-old tight end catching two or fewer passes in every game until Week 17. Sprinkle should be back to compete for a role with Washington in 2020, but the team likely will aim for an upgrade if Vernon Davis (concussion) and Jordan Reed (concussion) aren't brought back. Davis is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent and may be considering retirement, while Reed could be a cap casualty. Sprinkle, a 2017 fifth-round pick, will be entering the final season of his rookie contract.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2018
2017
A 2017 fifth-round pick, Sprinkle would be an intriguing prospect if he weren't stuck behind Jordan Reed and Vernon Davis on the depth chart. Between Reed's injury issues and Davis' age, it isn't out of the question for Sprinkle to see some targets before the end of the year.
The fifth-round selection embodies everything a team could want in a tight end: a large wingspan and great speed. As a result, Sprinkle could find himself receiving valuable offensive reps this season. Neither Jordan Reed nor Niles Paul has been a model of consistent health lately, and although Washington re-signed veteran Vernon Davis to three-year deal in the offseason, it's unforeseen if he can replicate last year's numbers. If the stars align, Sprinkle could become an interesting target for offensive coordinator Matt Cavanaugh to play with, making him a possible dark-horse fantasy producer.
