2019 Fantasy Outlook
After leading Wisconsin in receptions during his junior and senior campaigns, Fumagalli was drafted in the fifth round in 2018 by the Broncos and was lost before the season started with a sports hernia. At his best, Fumagalli can be a solid in-line blocker and chain-mover to complement dynamic rookie Noah Fant. At his worst, he may be the odd man out in Denver's menagerie of Big-Ten tight ends. Unless the team goes thin at another position and keeps four tight ends, Fumagalli, Jake Butt, and the newly resigned Jeff Heuerman are likely playing for two spots. Fumagalli has the least experience of the three. Read Past Outlooks

Finishes 2019 with six catches
TEDenver Broncos
January 26, 2020
Fumagalli caught six of nine passes for 38 yards and a touchdown during the 2019 season.
ANALYSIS
After missing his entire rookie season with a hernia, Fumagalli appeared sparingly in 11 games in 2019. The 2018 fifth-round pick saw 20 or more offensive snaps in a game just once and was targeted multiple times just twice. He figures to be on the roster bubble heading into 2020 with fullback Andy Janovich likely pushing the promising Andrew Beck over to tight end full time with fellow 2019 rookie Noah Fant. That'll leave Fumagalli, veteran Jeff Heuerman, Jake Butt and Austin Fort -- who impressed during training camp before tearing his ACL in the preseason -- to fight over one or two spots.

2018 Fantasy Outlook
The Wisconsin Badgers offense remains one of the few bastions for fans of the ground-and-pound. They didn't always pass, but when they did, they passed to Fumagalli, who led the team in receptions in both of the past two seasons. Fumagalli is far from the sort of mismatch tight end that is becoming increasingly popular in today's NFL, but with sound hands and a willingness to block, Fumagalli could be an interesting chess piece in multi-tight end sets. He's likely bound for heavy-formation duty as a rookie but appears to be a logical replacement for Jeff Heuerman, who's in his contract year, in 2019. Fumagalli and Jake Butt could be the future at the position for the Broncos.
