2019 Fantasy Outlook
Cantrell certainly has the prototypical size (6-3, 226 pounds) and enough speed to help fill in for Tyrell Williams, who signed a massive deal with the Raiders in the offseason. The 24-year-old spent his rookie season on the practice squad, but likely would have been on the roster bubble if not for a bone bruise suffered during training camp. It'll all be for naught, however, as Cantrell suffered a season-ending shoulder injury and was subsequently placed on injured reserve. It remains to be seen whether Cantrell will be legitimate threat to even rotation time after two years mired by injury. Read Past Outlooks

Cantrell (shoulder) cleared waivers and reverted to injured reserve Monday, Eric D. Williams of ESPN.com reports.
Cantrel was waived by the Chargers on Sunday due to a shoulder injury. Now that he's passed through waivers, he'll likely remain on injured reserve for the remainder of the season unless the two sides reach an injury settlement.

This Week's Opposing Pass Defense
How does the Titans pass defense compare to other NFL teams this season?
The bars represents the team's percentile rank (based on QB Rating Against). The longer the bar, the better their pass defense is. The team and position group ratings only include players that are currently on the roster and not on injured reserve. The list of players in the table only includes defenders with at least 3 attempts against them.

Joe Bartel notes that the Chargers have perhaps the best collection of talent in the NFL, but a potential holdout by Melvin Gordon could torpedo it all.
2018 Fantasy Outlook
A sixth-round pick by the Chargers in the 2018 NFL Draft, Cantrell has been one of the standouts throughout earlier portions of OTAs and training camp. Measuring in at 6-foot-3 and 212 pounds, Cantrell has the size to be a matchup nightmare in the red zone so long as he can stay healthy. A bone bruise is expected to keep the 24-year-old on the sidelines for an extended time which could affect his chances at making the final 53-man roster.
