GOALIE
John Gibson, ANA vs. STL ($7,500): The Blues looked like they were turning a corner after beating the Stars and Caps, but since then have gone 1-2-1, with their only win coming against the Sens. Gibson struggled earlier in the month but has allowed just two goals on 68 shots in his past two games, including a shutout against the Wild. Gibson only has to outplay Jake Allen, who has not looked good at any point this season. Jacob Markstrom ($7,600) is also a good value pick.
CENTER
Elias Pettersson, VAN vs. CAR ($6,900): He scored a goal and an assist in his first game back from a sprain, again leaving little doubt he's the league's best rookie this season. His presence is transformative for the goal-starved Canucks, but the Hurricanes shouldn't pose much of a challenge with their goaltending. Only Nathan MacKinnon ($8,100) has more upside than Pettersson among centers, but he also comes with a huge premium.
Ryan Johansen, NSH at VGK ($4,800): Johansen is set to return from his two-game suspension and will immediately slot back into his usual role on the top line. He's played three games against Vegas in his career, collecting zero points, but his presence alone should give the Preds offense a nice boost. Johansen can be boom or bust because his general inconsistency but at this price he's hard to pass up.
WING
Mitch Marner, TOR vs. WAS ($7,200): The Caps allowed seven goals against the Sharks last night, including a defensive lapse that led to a game-tying goal with one second left. Braden Holtby will likely sit, which means the Leafs have an opportunity to get their offense back on track against Pheonix Copley. The Leafs have not played since Sunday and have had plenty of rest. Kasperi Kapanen ($4,700) is also an option.
Alex Tuch, VGK vs. NSH ($6,100): Tuch has nine points in nine games in January and turning into a bona fide top-six winger with 39 points in 43 games. He's established excellent chemistry with Paul Stastny and Max Pacioretty, and their emergence has given the Knights two capable scoring lines. It'll be an interesting matchup game, but so far no team has been able to contain them.
Sven Baertschi, VAN vs. CAR ($4,400): Baertschi was promoted to a scoring role and will play with Elias Pettersson and Brock Boeser. The two-way winger has a knack for scoring goals around the net and it'll help him immensely playing with two guys who generate a lot of scoring chances. Baertschi has 12 points in 20 games and offers pretty good value. The underrated Josh Leivo ($3,200) is also another cheap option, who may play with Pettersson and Boeser as well.
DEFENSE
Shea Weber, MON vs. ARI ($5,500): Weber's been fantastic since his return, and with four points in his past three games has spookily matched last year's total exactly with 26 games played and 16 points. It's like he didn't miss a beat and once again would've been on pace for a 50-point season. He scored a goal the last time the two teams met and remains a safe play with his ability to contribute in multiple categories.
Brad Hunt, MIN at COL ($4,300): The Knights traded him because they had no room for him, not because they really wanted to get rid of someone. Hunt's offensive prowess will help the Wild's power play, and his ability to generate offense from the blue line can help fill the void left by Matt Dumba. At this price, Hunt's an intriguing play, especially against the Avs' 26th-ranked penalty kill.
