FanDuel NHL: Saturday Value Plays

FanDuel NHL: Saturday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

Spring is so close you can taste it. Daylight Savings Time is coming Sunday, or Saturday depending where you live. But that doesn't mean we've tired of hockey. There are 10 games on the slate for Saturday night in the NHL. Here are my recommendations for your fantasy lineup. Give them a look, set your lineup, and then don't forget to set your clock an hour forward at the end of the day.

GOALIE

Darcy Kuemper, ARI vs. LOS ($8,600): I feel like I'm Kuemper's #1 fan at this point, but he's also been rewarding me for that. In 2019, he has posted a 2.19 GAA and .928 save percentage in 23 outings. Do you think a Kings team that has scored a paltry 2.34 goals per game are going to change anything?

CENTER

David Krejci, BOS vs. OTT ($6,000): Krejci is another player I'm recommending a lot these days, but to his credit he's notched 15 points over his last 11 games. Plus, it's not hard to get excited about a player when they are at home against the Senators, who enter with an NHL-worst 4.38 road GAA.

Ryan Strome, NYR vs. NJD ($3,800): When Kevin Hayes was traded, somebody had to step into the second-line center role for the Rangers. So far, that's been Strome. He'll be working in his new role, which includes more power-play time, against a Devils team on the road for the second game of a back-to-back while sporting a 3.91 road GAA.

WING

Alexander Radulov, DAL vs. CHI ($6,000): Radulov claimed a hat-trick in his last game, but there was plenty to like about him before that. He's notched 54 points in 55 contests, including 16 points with the extra man. The Blackhawks have two minor defensive issues: the league's highest GAA at 3.78 and the league's worst penalty kill.

Ondrej Palat, TAM vs. DET ($4,400): Palat has started 60.3 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, highest on the Lightning. He's also skating on Tampa's top line alongside Steven Stamkos, which helps. Meanwhile, the Red Wings own a 3.56 GAA since the All-Star break, and they were sellers at the deadline.

Zach Hyman, TOR at EDM ($4,400): Speaking of guys with favorable lineup positioning, Hyman skates on Toronto's top line alongside John Tavares and Mitch Marner. While he doesn't score on their level, he has potted five goals in his last seven games. As for the Oilers, they have struggled with a 3.22 GAA.

DEFENSE

Oliver Ekman-Larsson, ARI vs. LOS ($5,000): The Swedish defenseman has tallied eight points in the last nine games. Beyond that, he's averaged 3:35 per game on the power play, notching 17 points with the extra man. Now he finds himself taking on a Kings team that boasts the 30th-ranked penalty kill.

Anthony DeAngelo, NYR vs. NJD ($4,200): Would you believe DeAngelo has 11 points in his last 12 games? It's true, and pretty impressive – even if all of them have been assists. That's earned him an increase in minutes, including on the power play. As previously noted, the Devils maintain a 3.91 GAA in away games, and they will be on the road for the second night of a back-to-back.
