FanDuel NHL: Tuesday Value Plays

FanDuel NHL: Tuesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

Before we know it, the NHL playoffs will be here. For now, though, there are still a few more days left in the regular season. There are seven games on the slate Tuesday. Here are my recommendations for your daily fantasy lineup.

GOALIE

Mikko Koskinen, EDM vs. LOS ($7,800): Koskinen's performance has been up-and-down recently, but over his last 14 games he has a 2.88 GAA and .914 save percentage. This is a quite favorable matchup, though. The Kings have only scored 2.36 goals per game, and they are on the road for the second night of a back-to-back.

CENTER

Bo Horvat, VAN vs. ANA ($6,300): Horvat has quietly notched 27 goals and 57 points in 76 games. That includes nine points in his last eight contests. The Ducks have a 3.18 GAA on the road, and have given up 33.4 shots on net per contest in those outings. That includes when John Gibson was standing on his head early in the season, though. Things have been going downhill in recent months.

Colin White, OTT vs. BUF ($4,400): By the process of elimination, White has become the first-line center for the Senators. He has 36 points in 64 games, but obviously he's getting more opportunity now, including on the power play. Meanwhile, the Sabres have a 3.88 GAA since the All-Star break. If that's not enough, they are on the road for the second night of a back-to-back.

WING

Brendan Gallagher, MON vs. FLA ($7,500): Gallagher has somehow improved upon last season, when he had 31 goals on 278 shots. This year, he already has 33 goals on 282 shots. Now he gets to take on a Panthers team with a 3.70 GAA on the road that is also on the second day of a back-to-back.

Clayton Keller, ARI vs. CHI ($5,600): Keller has made a real impact on the power play this year. He's played 3:34 per game with the extra man, notching 19 power-play points in 76 contests. As for the Blackhawks, they have the league's worst penalty kill, which bodes well for Keller.

Zack Kassian, EDM vs. LOS ($4,700): Kassian has been skating on Connor McDavid's wing, which has helped him put together a couple of nice stretches of play recently. He had a four-game goal streak about a month ago, and he has a three-game point streak going now. The Kings have struggled mightily since the All-Star break. They have a 3.46 GAA in that time, and they are also on the road for the second leg of a back-to-back.

DEFENSE

Alexander Edler, VAN vs. ANA ($5,300): Edler has played some great hockey since returning from his own injury. In 12 games he's notched nine points, including four on the power play. If that's not enough, the defenseman is also a prolific shot blocker. In those same 12 games, he's blocked 40 shots, giving him 149 of those in 50 contests.

Thomas Chabot, OTT vs. BUF ($4,700): Chabot returned from injury in Ottawa's last game, playing almost 28 minutes and notching an assist. So basically he looked like the guy who has tallied 50 points in 63 games. Not that he would need to be full speed to excel against the Sabres. As previously noted, Buffalo has a 3.88 GAA since the All-Star break.
