DraftKings NHL: Saturday Picks

DraftKings NHL: Saturday Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

We've made it. The final day of the NHL regular season is here. There are a whopping 13 games on the docket for the evening, which means a ton of options for your daily fantasy lineup. Here are my recommendations to make your decisions easier.

GOALIE

Braden Holtby, WAS vs. NYI ($8,000): Holtby seems to be getting himself geared up for the playoffs. Over his last 15 games he has a 2.20 GAA and .921 save percentage. The Islanders are a defensive juggernaut, but offensively they pack less punch. They have averaged 2.63 goals and 27.6 shots on net per contest on the road.

CENTER

Matt Duchene, CLM at OTT ($6,600): Since joining the Jackets, Duchene has 12 points in 22 games. He's been getting into his groove, though, as he has six points in his last six contests. Duchene and company get a nice matchup to end the season on, as the Senators have a league-worst 3.64 GAA.

Jordan Staal, CAR at PHI ($4,900): Staal suffered through injuries this year, but he seems to be on his game at the moment. Over his last nine games he's notched eight points. The return of Brian Elliott and the addition of Carter Hart weren't quite the panacea that the Flyers hoped for. Since the All-Star break they have a 3.47 GAA and have allowed 35.8 shots on net per contest.

WING

Anthony Mantha, DET vs. BUF ($6,100): The Wings may have nothing to play for, but don't tell Mantha that. He's tallied seven goals and seven assists in his last seven games. Mantha has also started 60.7 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, third highest among Red Wings forwards. Meanwhile, since the All-Star break the Sabres have a 3.84 GAA.

Craig Smith, NAS vs. CHI ($4,700): Smith has notched 21 goals on 204 shots in 75 games, including five goals in 14 contests since returning from injury. He's also averaged 2:30 per game with the extra man. That power-play time could pay off here, as the Blackhawks have the league's worst penalty kill.

Victor Olofsson, BUF at DET ($4,400): Olofsson was plopped right onto Buffalo's top line upon debuting, and it's paid off so far. The rookie has four points and 18 shots on net in five contests. Detroit hasn't been as bad as Buffalo since the All-Star break, but they still have a 3.27 GAA and have allowed 34.4 shots on goal per game in that time.

DEFENSE

Dougie Hamilton, CAR at PHI ($5,900): Hamilton has racked up a career-high 18 goals on 255 shots this season. He's also playing well down the stretch, as he has 10 points in his last 15 contests. As previously noted, the Flyers have given up 35.8 shots on goal per game since the All-Star break. Hamilton should be able to put a bunch of shots on net.

Colin Miller, VGK at LOS ($3,800): Miller has done most of his damage on the power play. He's notched 2:23 per game with the extra man and has 13 power-play points in 64 games. The Kings have the 29th-ranked penalty kill, and on top of that they are playing their second game in as many nights.
