DraftKings NHL: Wednesday Playoff Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

The Sharks and Blues split the first two games of the Western Conference Finals. Now, these two teams are moving their series to St. Louis. Operating under the Showdown contest rules, you will be picking six players from these two teams, at least one from each squad. Here is one potential lineup that really strikes me as enticing.

Logan Couture, SAN ($10,800)

At this point, you basically have to put Couture in your lineup. He's got 13 goals and six assists through 16 games. That means he's the top scorer in this postseason, and he has a whopping five points in his last two games to boot.

Ryan O'Reilly, STL ($9,800)

O'Reilly has a point in both games of this series, which gives him 11 playoff points. That comes after he had a personal-best 77 points this year. The Sharks struggled quite a bit on the road this season. They had a 3.44 GAA in away games.

Alex Pietrangelo, STL ($8,700)

Pietrangelo has been active on both ends of the ice recently. Over his last nine games he has 28 shots on net and 18 blocked shots. He's also been getting a ton of power-play time in the postseason (3:15 per game), and the Sharks had the 15th-ranked penalty kill this year.

Erik Karlsson, SAN ($8,500)

Karlsson is still snakebit when it comes to goals, but he has 13 assists this postseason. Plus, he's put 43 shots on net in the playoffs, so eventually he may finally get some puck luck. Meanwhile, Jordan Binnington's save percentage in the playoffs is only .909, which is a drop down from his impressive regular season.

Jaden Schwartz, STL ($7,000)

Somehow, Schwartz managed to post a 6.0 shooting percentage this year, a massive drop off from his career number. Fortunately for the Blues, he's made up for lost time in the playoffs. The 26-year-old has nine goals over his last 11 outings. On the other hand, while Martin Jones has played well in the postseason, he had an .896 save percentage during the regular season.

Kevin Labanc, SAN ($4,800)

Labanc started 58.5 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, highest among Sharks forwards. His scoring has been down a bit, but he's still averaged 3:08 per game with the extra man. At this price, if Labanc can take advantage of his power-play time or starting position, he could bring real bang for your buck.
