FanDuel NHL: Tuesday Targets

FanDuel NHL: Tuesday Targets

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

SLATE PREVIEW

We have 10 games firing up this Tuesday night, and the most exciting of the bunch is a showdown between the Bruins and Lightning -- the top two teams in the Eastern Conference. They haven't played since Dec. 12. Tampa Bay has won the first two meetings of the season, but both were decided by one goal, including a shootout win in October.

Another appealing divisional matchup will be when the Predators travel to Minnesota. Once willing trade partners last year, there are playoff implications this time around. The Preds lead by a point with a game in hand, but an outright win by the Wild could thrust them into a playoff position, depending on whether the Jets win or not.

Almost every other game has a possible playoff team in the mix, so it'll be an exciting evening. Read on for tips when locking in your DFS lineups ahead of the 7:00 p.m. ET puck drop.

GOALIES

Tuukka Rask ($9,000) and Andrei Vasilevskiy ($8,800) have both endured their bumps in the road recently -- Vasilevskiy to a higher degree. It'll be a tough matchup for both parties, whose offenses both rank in the top-8 this season.

Connor Hellebuyck ($8,100) is the top start in this slate. He was remarkable at home in February, posting a .933 save percentage and 5-2-0 record, and the Sabres come to town after posting exactly two goals in four straight contests.

Robin Lehner ($8,100) was outstanding in his Golden Knights debut, and he'll make his second start in the team's threads. Meanwhile, the Devils rank 29th over the last month with just 2.06 xGF/60 at even strength, per Natural Stat Trick.

Corey Crawford ($7,800) still has plenty left in the tank at 35, and he's notched a .930 save percentage over the past six contests. The lack of goal support is an issue for his win-loss record, but a matchup against the lowly Ducks, who came in 30th in February with 2.02 xGF/60, is ideal to keep it rolling.

VALUE PLAYS/ONE-OFFS

Any other year where there aren't two generational rookie defenseman and we'd be talking about Dominik Kubalik ($5,800) in the Calder conversation. He sits one short of 30 goals, and he's compiled seven goals and four assists over the last eight games.

It's been an uncharacteristic slump for the Penguins, as they've let up 20 goals over the past five contests. Anthony Duclair ($4,300) should be back in the fold after sitting with an ankle injury, and although he's struggled to produce lately, he's directed 17 shots on net over the past five games. Bobby Ryan ($4,600) is a solid option, too.

Kailer Yamamoto ($4,800) is finally living up to his first-round pedigree, as he's racked up 21 points over 21 NHL games this year. He'll look to leverage his consistent power-play time against the Stars, who ranked 29th over the last month with 10.5 GA/60 on the penalty kill.

FORWARD LINE STACKS

Boston Bruins (TOTAL: $24,600)

C - Patrice Bergeron ($7,500
W - Brad Marchand ($7,900)
W - David Pastrnak ($9,200)

Coming in as one of the most expensive line stacks in the slate, this group has high upside with Vasilevskiy yielding three or more goals in five straight games -- 22 in total. The trio has racked up a whopping 36 points over the last 10 games (19 goals, 17 assists) and a combined nine points over two games versus the Lightning this year.

Dallas Stars (TOTAL: $18,900)

C - Tyler Seguin ($7,800)
W - Jamie Benn ($7,400)
W - Corey Perry ($3,700)

Seguin and Benn have four and five-game point streaks, respectively, and Perry chipped in seven points in February. They'll catch the Oilers on the second half of a back-to-back, which means they'll face off against Mikko Koskinen, who has a 3.03 GAA in 2020.

San Jose Sharks (TOTAL: $16,500)

C - Logan Couture ($6,700)
W - Evander Kane ($6,600)
W - Noah Gregor ($3,200)

Couture has picked up where he left off with two goals over three games, and while Gregor hasn't been on the first line the entire time, he's registered two points in that stretch. Not to mention he comes at a major bargain. Kane's production has been high, too, and with Frederik Andersen recording a 3.43 GAA over the past seven games, this is a prime opportunity to reach the ceiling.

DEFENSEMEN

Neal Pionk ($4,600) has just one point over the last three games, but he has accumulated a whopping 20 shots on net in that stretch. He's a fixture on the power play, too, which makes him a high-ceiling option against the Sabres' 29th-ranked penalty kill (10.35 GA/60) over the past month.

The Lightning aren't much better while down a man, coming in eight during that stretch, so fire up Torey Krug ($5,700), who has six points in as many games with three coming on the power play.

Tony DeAngelo ($5,500) has accrued six helpers -- four on the power play -- over the last seven games. He may not be a popular play against the red-hot Blues, and that contrarian nature makes him an excellent tournament play, as the defending champs have let up 10.16 G/60 on the PK over the last month -- the fourth-most in the league.
