Shows off improved ground and pound on the way to his ninth victory at Bellator 204
WelterweightBellator
August 17, 2018
Storley defeated AJ Matthews via TKO (punches) at 3:56 of Round 2 at Bellator 204 on Friday in Sioux Falls, S.D.
ANALYSIS
Storley has been dominant in his MMA career with his wrestling. In this fight, perhaps for the first time, he was able to really make an impact with his ground and pound. Once he scored a takedown, he secured a cross-wrist ride and went to work with punches and elbows. There was a brief pause due to an accidental knee to the head. When action resumed, he scored another takedown, moved to a dominant position and finished the fight with even more ground and pound. Storley did not make the field for the Bellator welterweight tournament, but he certainly has a place in the company for the foreseeable future.

Wrestles his way to a decision victory at Bellator 197
WelterweightBellator
April 13, 2018
Storley defeated Joaquin Buckley via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-26, 30-26) at Bellator 197 on Friday in St. Charles, Mo.
ANALYSIS
Storley signed with Bellator last year and won a pair of fights over Kemmyelle Haley and Matt Secor. So far the former University of Minnesota wrestler has looked the part as a top prospect. This win was very dominant if not very exciting. Storley scored takedowns in all three rounds and held position from the top. Buckley did stop a few takedowns, but Storley was persistent and continued to smother. The former wrestler will need to continue to improve his other skills in order to be successful against better fighters. He improves to 8-0 as a professional and 3-0 in Bellator.
Dominates veteran Matt Secor at Bellator 186
WelterweightBellator
November 3, 2017
Storley defeated Matt Secor via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27) at Bellator 186 on Friday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
In his second Bellator fight, Storley took on clearly his toughest opponent to date. He passed the test with flying colors. The four-time All-American at the University of Minnesota dominated this fight from the top position. Secor is a respected grappler who has competed in the Eddie Bravo Invitational. However, Storley was still able to control the ground exchanges and land liberally with ground and pound. Even though this was the longest fight in Storley's career, it was a dominant victory. He improves to 7-0 as a professional and is showing no signs of slowing down.
Makes quick work of Kemmyelle Haley at Bellator 181
WelterweightBellator
July 14, 2017
Storley defeated Kemmyelle Haley via TKO (elbows) at 1:44 of Round 1 at Bellator 181 on Friday in Thackerville, Okla.
ANALYSIS
Unlike a lot of Bellator's wrestling prospects, Storley had five professional fights before he made his promotional debut. It showed here. He scored an early takedown and worked his way into half guard. From there he landed a series of elbow strikes that finished the fight. This was a very impressive debut for the former University of Minnesota wrestler.
