Once the fight picked up again, Allen found himself going blow-for-blow with a heavy-handed knockout artist, often seeming to find himself along the fence in trouble. Yet, Allen was able to survive, eventually knocking Silva down before choking him out. Allen displayed excellent awareness in not overextending himself in search of the finish, knowing it would eventually materialize.
