Still searching for first UFC win
WelterweightUFC
September 10, 2022
Weeks lost to Yohan Lainesse via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 28-29) at UFC 279 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It's a crushing result for Weeks, who may have very well have needed a victory to extend his time with the company. A loser in each of his first two UFC bouts, Weeks and Lainesse fought to even terms virtually the entire fight. Weeks appeared to be the better conditioned athlete and was the one who pushed the pace, but he still wasn't able to separate from his opponent in terms of the damage he was able to inflict. This was a true fifty/fifty decision, and Weeks didn't get the call. We'll have to wait and see if the UFC decides to extend another opportunity to the 28-year-old Missouri native.

Weeks lost to Ian Garry via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC 273 on Saturday in Jacksonville.
ANALYSIS
Making just his seventh professional appearance and second under the UFC banner, Weeks again saw the final bell before dropping a unanimous decision. The result did not come as a shock, as he entered as a +290 underdog. Weeks and Garry both connected on 51 percent of their significant strikes, but Weeks was nowhere near active enough on the feet, as Garry lapped him in terms of activity. Garry is a top prospect, so there is no shame in losing to him, but Weeks is probably going to need a victory his next time out if he hopes to save his job.
Set for second UFC fight in April
WelterweightUFC
January 19, 2022
Weeks will take on Ian Garry in a welterweight bout at UFC 273 on April 9, Team Iridium Sports Agency reports.
ANALYSIS
Weeks fell in his UFC debut back in early December against Bryan Barberena by unanimous decision. That fight was on very short notice, but he will have much more time to prepare for a talented prospect in Garry who will be making his second start with the promotion as well.
Solid debut despite loss
WelterweightUFC
December 6, 2021
Weeks lost to Bryan Barberena via unanimous decision (28-29, 28-29, 28-29) at UFC Vegas 44 on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Weeks bought himself a ton of good will here by stepping in to save this fight on short notice, and despite entering as a slight betting underdog, he recorded four takedowns and won the battle of significant strikes 118-108. Still, he didn't manage much control time despite the takedowns, and the judges ultimately determined it was Barberena who landed the more damaging shots. Even though the scorecards didn't go his way, there's a lot to like from the 28-year-old, who has just six professional fights under his belt.
