Almost certainly in need of a victory to extend his time with the company, Ontiveros was able to hang tough for a couple minutes before it all fell apart. His success came when he was able to use his massive length advantage to pepper Benitez on the feet. Ontiveros eventually found himself trapped along the fence, at which point Benitez slammed him to the mat and eventually earned the stoppage. Of course, it's far from a guarantee he gets a third opportunity after this setback. The early returns on Ontiveros have been troubling to say the least. He landed just 15 total strikes here compared to 70 from Garcia. Ontiveros also allowed his opponent to connect on three of his five takedown attempts. Both are a recipe for disaster and that's exactly how it has played out for the 30-year-old Texan during his brief time with the company. There is little to be excited about here.
