Buckley will fight a welterweight ranked in the UFC's rankings. Even better, Luque is the UFC's No. 9 welterweight contender, so a decisive win over him could establish Buckley as a top-10 fighter in the division. He will look to continue his excellence from 2023, which included wins over Andre Fialho (via second-round knockout) and Alex Morono (via unanimous decision).

Buckley is a massive individual. His power is high-end and his grappling underrated. If his cardio holds up -- and it did here -- he's a real threat in there. Buckley has enough natural ability that as long he throws plenty of volume, he'll stand a good chance of winning. The gas tank is the key to making all this work. The early returns are positive. Buck is clearly a fighter to keep an eye on as 2023 comes to a close.
