Stewart lost to Dustin Jacoby via TKO (punches) at 3:04 of Round 1 at UFC on ESPN 30 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Stewart has been with the UFC pretty much continuously since his company debut back in November 2016, but this might be the last straw. A striker by trade with legitimate power in his hands, Stewart has been extremely durable over the course of his professional career. This was his first ever knockout defeat, and it began with a huge right hand from Jacoby and ended a few shots later. Stewart appeared to be on auto-pilot prior to referee Jason Herzog stepping in and calling off the bout. Stewart won't turn 31 years of age until late December, but he's winless in his past four fights (0-3, 1NC) and is now sporting a 5-7 (2NC) mark during the course of his time with the company.

Stewart lost to Eryk Anders via unanimous decision (28-29, 27-29, 27-29) at UFC 263 on Saturday in Glendale, Arizona.

Stewart got another shot at Anders after an illegal knee from the latter caused the first fight between the two in March to be ruled a no-contest. He was unable to take advantage. This fight was somehow there for the taking heading into Round 3 after neither man did anything over the course of the first ten minutes, but Stewart was unable to separate and land consistently and eventually found himself eating countless unanswered shots to the side of the head from Anders. He managed to see the final bell, but had no chance of winning. Stewart's career record with the UFC is below .500 (5-7, 2NC), but he fights often, and that has value to a company which holds an event most every weekend.

The Brit got clipped with one big shot and appeared to be on the verge of being finished before Anders landed an illegal knee. The cageside doctor came in and correctly waived it off. Unlike last week's Petr Yan v. Aljamain Sterling fiasco, referee Herb Dean ruled this accidental and thus the no contest. Don't be surprised if the UFC tries to run this one back.
