Moore, who announced Tuesday that she would sit out the 2019 season to spend more time with her family, recently agreed to a multi-year contract with the Lynx, Kent Youngblood of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports.
ANALYSIS
While the 2014 WNBA MVP's absence for the upcoming season is a huge loss, the fact that she'll remain under club control when she elects to resume her career is at least a small coup for the Lynx. While Moore is away from the team in 2019, the Lynx will likely be forced to rely more heavily on the likes of Sylvia Fowles to fill the scoring void. The newly signed Karima Christmas-Kelly is expected to take Moore's spot in the starting five and offer a defensive-minded element at forward.
