Martinez, the No. 17 pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, spent her final two collegiate seasons at Arizona after three campaigns with West Virginia. She was a solid rebounder and defender, averaging 11.1 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.0 steals in 27.5 minutes during the 2023-24 campaign. However, her three-point shot fell off, and she wasn't efficient from the field before that. ANALYSIS
Martinez spent five seasons at the collegiate level, spending three years at West Virginia before transferring to Arizona for the past two seasons. She contributed on both ends of the floor during the 2023-24 campaign, averaging 11.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 2.0 steals in 27.5 minutes per game. She could struggle to find immediate playing time in the WNBA as part of a talented roster in New York, but her landing spot allows her to develop.
